Game play: 9/10
the game has combined a trick score system with the original grade system. also sonic rush has added the tension gauge, a gauge that fills up as you do trick. when you activate it sonic or blaze go at full speed and is limited.
the bonus stage for sonic is a reincarnation of the classic sonic the hedgehog 2 bonus stage. the half pipe where you have to collect a set amount of rings to continue. once done you get the chaos emerald. to access you use what is a spinning generator that you spin by using 2.5 tension gauge.
the items in the game are the same as sonic advance. but theres no super speed. the containers are the same from sonic hero's.
Like many of the other modern Sonic games, sonic Rush has an extra story in the form of Sonic & Blaze and consists of a single boss fight (also like many of the other modern Sonic games) that appears to be a combinations of Sonic Advance 1 and 2's final bosses, and has Sonic and Blaze fighting Eggman and his Nega form in what would appear to be the remnants of the merging of Sonic and Blazes dimension.

1 word. great!!! sonic rush incorporates 2d levels with 3d/2d boss battles (with the exception of the extra). the levels have great backgrounds! the bosses do too.
Sound: 10/10
great music! enough said. oh and great sound effects too.
Entertainment: 9/10
the single player will keep you playing till you finish. the multi payer isn't fun after s few times. not sure about the multi cartridge.
Replay Value: 9/10
the game is a bit to easy but very enjoyable. it is a game that you'll want to play again and again. its just a bit easy.
